So this week I went to my parents' place to cut my sister's hair and they had some surprise for me. A family friend of ours is moving and she left a whole lot of things with us, including a Canon film camera and spare lenses. Since it was from her late husband's, I felt so special and wanted to take a good care of it. Here are the gifts from her:
Canon EF 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5 USM and Canon EF 80-200mm f/4.5-5.6 II. The first one is a huge lens, compared to my miniature, baby, kit lens. It lets in a lot of light even indoors, I already switched mine to this one. It's heavier but it's worth the carry. Its build is pretty decent, it's got great reviews too. The second one is a smaller but has a very interesting zoom function, I guess it's a consumer's telephoto lens. It lets me zoom in a lot, and I'll still have to figure out how it works in different environment. Thank God for the surprise gifts! I can't wait to take pictures in San Diego this weekend!! (We're going on a weekend getaway! Yey!) I'll upload the pix once they're ready. I guess it was a cheer-up gift from Jesus, he's so gracious :)
