San Diego Getaway!

Last weekend, my hubby and I went down to San Diego for one night two days getaway. It's been a while since we went on a trip so we loved it! We stayed by Shelter Island, which was facing directly into the harbor and the hotel room actually was right by the waters. We went to Balboa Park, San Diego Museum of Art, Old Town, Gaslamp Quarter, and the pier area of the harbor. We enjoyed every minute of it. San Diego was a very rich town in terms of culture. When you go to downtown, on the way it feels like San Francisco because of the one-way streets and hills, but then you see victorian style buildings just like in New York. Then when you go to Old Town, it's like Mexico and old time America. Here are some pix taken with my new lens.

At SDMA. That's my hubby there :)

They had permanent exhibit like Picaso and Monet but this one was the special for Arts & Crafts show. My favorite piece of the collection *taken secretly* Look at the top of the lamps, they're heart shaped! I want one too!

They had a little corner where you can do your own doodling and put it on a wall. So that's my doodle...

From our hotel room window. The view was great!

At Heritage Park.

At Old Town. A part of a wall on a church.

...Of this church. I should've gone inside when we saw it open...we walked around and came back but it was closed. The door could be opened only from the inside. Takeshi was saying something about a person's heart too, where it can be opened only from inside, so Jesus will still keep knocking.
