Recent Updates

It's been almost a year from the last post....again! :'(
I've been going to parks with my very active toddler.

But I finally managed to start on a project for my friend who is getting married in June at my church!
I literally have less than 1 hour of free time per day; if it's a good day that is. Not at a regular time but around 4am or 11pm, depending on the time my kids sleep. So this thing took forever. Thanks to my wonderful hubby who watched the kids on Saturdays, I was able to go on sewing machine every weekend :) So my friend, who is in love with pink/blush color, wanted a ring pillow and welcome board made. Here's what I made with the materials my sister helped me buy (again, without her help I couldn't even walk into a store without my kids causing chaos. My toddler is on my back and singing as I type this post). I looked at a lot of websites for inspiration and techniques but these are my original recipe. I first made the pillow and thought, well, since I have the extra fabric, why not make a clutch too? The big flowers took about 2 hours each to make, because I did it the wrong way, but oh well...I might never make them again...haha. My friend says the same kind of clutch was about $150 on etsy.com so it must be the labor cost than the material. Anyways, here they are...

*These pretty pictures are from her amazing official photographer. I didn't take them  :)

I have started on welcome board/wreath for her but I have less than a month to complete it so I will put up a photo when I'm finished. So excited to be a part of her wedding in a small way :)
